Before your treatment, the doctors need to make sure your body is ready. They might:

• Take some blood to check if you're healthy
• Ask you how you're feeling
• Explain what will happen during your treatment

It's normal to feel nervous, but remember - your doctors and nurses are there to help you!

During chemotherapy, special medicine fights the sick cells in your body. The medicine:

• Goes into your body through a tube called an IV
• Travels through your blood to find the sick cells
• Works like a superhero to make you better

You might feel tired or a bit sick after treatment. That's normal and your doctors can help you feel better.

After your treatment, your body needs time to rest and get strong again. You might:

• Feel tired and need extra sleep
• Not feel like eating much
• Need to stay away from people who are sick

Your body is working hard to get better, so be patient and kind to yourself!

When you go home after treatment, you'll need to:

• Take any medicine the doctor gives you
• Rest when you feel tired
• Tell a grown-up if you don't feel well
• Wash your hands often to stay healthy
